Parents of Youth Meeting:
This will be a chance for you to hear about what this year is going to be look like at youth, some of the vision and goals for the future and to meet some of the leaders of your students and to ask any questions or to voice any concerns you may have.
WHERE: The Milner's House (#24 53226 RR261) ( go west along the yellowhead, past winterburn road, take the exit on to Hillview Road and at the 3 way stop go straight, take the second left by the green Helenslea sign, at the fork stay right and look for the 24 sign!)
WHEN: Wednesday September 8th
TIME: 7-9pm
BRING: A dessert to share.
Youth
Our youth ministry is a vibrant and growing part of the church. West Meadows youth ministry has been known for years as a place where the grade seven to twelve students know they’re cared for. A number of committed leaders spanning from age 19 to 30 commit to caring for the youth of the church as well as their friends and the community, spending time in their world outside the organized youth events. At their sports games, going out for coffee, or chatting on facebook.
THE BRIDGE
Wednesday nights at the church - 7-9pm. This time generally includes a community bonding group game or two, a time of worship in music, sword drills, teaching from the Word of God, and small group interaction discussing relevant and Biblical topics.
FRIDAY NIGHT YOUTH
Our schedule of events for Friday nights include roughly one Friday per month in small groups (determined mostly by grade), one Friday with no event, and two Friday nights in such events as dark games at the church, photo scavenger hunts, the annual city wide Jello-night, or mall man hunts. We also have attended YC annually, and place priority on some variety of missions trip every year.
