Pastor411 | Week 1
How to use it: After watching/listening to this week’s message, from April 24, 2022, use the questions to go deeper into the message, with your group…or on your own. The questions will introduce you to the topic, reflect content from the sermon, go ‘Beyond the Message’, & get you thinking about practical applications for your life.
Have you ever been in a situation when you wanted to ask a question but didn’t because you were concerned about what others would think?
Read John 14:1-7. Do you think Thomas was the only one with a question to ask? What powerful knowledge about Jesus would we not have if Thomas did not ask his question?
Why do you think the church should or should not be a place where people can ask questions and share doubts?
Have you ever had an experience with what you thought was a ghost?
What do the following passage reveal about the activity of good angels? (Gen 16:9; Dan 6:22; 10:13; Luke 1:35; Exod 23:20)
What do the following passages teach us about Satan and his angels? (John 8:44; Eph 6:12; 2 Cor 11:14; 1 John 4:1; 1 Peter 5:8)
Supernatural topics are very interesting, but why do you think God warns us to be discerning and avoid them? (Lev 19:31)
In addition to Jude’s quote from The Book of Enoch, look at these other examples of sayings, stories, and writings that are referenced but not included in the Bible. (Josh 10:13; 1 Kings 11:41; 1 Cor 15:11; Luke 13:4-5; Acts 17:28)
Some of these quotes come from pagan authors. How do you understand the idea that God uses pagan people to reveal His truth?
If you have a Bible reading plan, share with the group what you are reading. If not, commit to starting one today. Your group can help you find one if needed.
